Budget, week 5
Another week's shopping, another overspend! Maybe its just not realistic to try to keep to a £50 week budget. In my defense, this week's shop included a rare treat of some fillet beef which I planned to have on Sunday and some chicken on special offer for the freezer.
The plan for this week is as follows -
Budget week 5
Saturday -
Breakfast: Coffee and toast with peanut butter (and another early start off to a bike event with M)
Lunch: a budget sandwich in a car park near Oxford!
Dinner: a takeaway Indian with some friends and their children
Sunday -
Breakfast: Boiled egg and marmite soldiers
Lunch: bread with humus and some carrots
Dinner: Beef carpaccio with mustard and dill pesto, lentil, beetroot and feta salad, cold green beans and broccoli
Monday -
Breakfast: yogurt, fruit and granola
Lunch: carrot and goats cheese tart with leftover salad from Sunday
Dinner: vegetarian chilli with turtle beans, guacamole, goats cheese and wholemeal torilla
Tuesday -
Breakfast: yogurt, fruit and granola
Lunch: leftovers from Tuesday
Dinner: spelt spaghetti with cherry tomatoes, garlic, chilli and Parmesan
Wednesday -
Breakfast: yogurt, fruit and granola
Lunch: gazpacho and salad
Dinner: chicken curry with brown basmati rice and wholemeal chappati
Thursday -
Breakfast: yogurt, fruit and granola
Lunch: leftover curry from Wednesday
Dinner: chorizo, cannellini beans and eggs
Friday -
Breakfast: yogurt, fruit and granola
Lunch: salad
Dinner: Fish and chips with peas (from the freezer)
